Ellie is my best friend and loyal companion. I adopted her from Knine Rescue about four years ago, and since then, she has brought so much joy and love into my life. Her birthday is April 1st, and every year we celebrate the special bond we share. Ellie has always been a fighter, overcoming every challenge with a wagging tail and a loving heart.

Throughout her life, Ellie has faced several medical emergencies. She was diagnosed with MUO (Meningoencephalomyelitis of Unknown Origin), a serious neurological condition that required extensive treatment at Apex Vets. After months of care and thousands of dollars in medical bills, Ellie successfully completed her treatment. She is now seizure-free and no longer on medication. Seeing her recover and return to her happy, playful self was something I will always be grateful for.

Unfortunately, a couple of months ago, Ellie began experiencing frequent reverse sneezing along with nasal discharge. After multiple veterinary visits, imaging, and specialized exams, she was diagnosed with an Aspergillus sinus infection, a painful and aggressive fungal infection.

Despite being placed on medical treatment, Ellie’s condition has not improved. She is currently experiencing lethargy, frequent nosebleeds, and significant nasal discharge, which have greatly affected her quality of life. At this point, medication is no longer effective, and sinus trephination surgery is the only remaining option to treat the infection. This procedure is costly and may need to be repeated to fully clear the infection.

I have all invoices and medical documentation available, and every dollar raised will go directly toward Ellie’s surgery, follow-up care, and recovery. A pesar de haber iniciado tratamiento médico, la condición de Ellie no ha mejorado. Actualmente presenta letargo, sangrados nasales frecuentes y una secreción nasal abundante, lo cual ha afectado significativamente su calidad de vida. En este punto, la medicación ya no es efectiva y la cirugía de trepanación sinusal es la única opción restante para tratar la infección. Este procedimiento es costoso y podría necesitar repetirse para eliminar completamente la infección.
