Help Ellie Get her Health & Life back

Hi all,

My name is Jess, I'm setting up this Go Fund Me Page to raise some much needed funds for a dear friend of mine Ellie Webster who has been through her fair share of medical trauma and financial loss.

 

In March of this year at just 27 years old, Ellie’s life has changed drastically and as a result has spent the last six months battling to recover her health and get back to living a normal as possible life.

 

After receiving a vaccine, Ellie experienced multi organ failure and spent many weeks in hospital including time in the ICU, her kidneys were operating at 4% and her liver levels were over 100x that of healthy levels. She underwent CRRT and dialysis to help her kidneys and liver recover from the damage.

 

Ellie has spent thousands of dollars in Medical care, equipment and appointments to try and maintain her quality of life. She has been left with permanent hearing loss, severe fatigue, POTS (causing dizziness, tachycardia, and fainting spells), ongoing allergic reactions as her immune system has been unable to settle down, and many other health issues.

 

The medications that have recently been prescribed have unfortunately caused some severe reactions and have left her once again being admitted to hospital unable to work with many months ahead of medication trials and adjustments.

 

Normally Ellie works full time with Elderly and Disabled clients which she loves, Since becoming injured she has been unable to return to work full time and continues to struggle with her finances as a result. We want to support Ellie to achieve her goals, improve her mobility, and be able to get back to living a full life. Including eventually being able to return work full time and return to the volunteering she used to enjoy on weekends at Parkrun and her local church.

 

Ellie has tried to be so positive throughout all of this, however as you can imagine she is in need of support to help her feel some hope for her future. With the ongoing costs of mobility equipment, medications, appointments, and lost income, she is struggling to see how she will be able to maintain her health.

 

I am asking for your support so that we can Ellie get back to a healthy and happy life, and leave her injury in the distant past as best we can.
