Hello! My name is Ellie, and I am 1 of 5 kids and work in EMS. I am trying to raise $4,000 to surprise my mom with an attorney so she can divorce my abusive dad. I am working as hard as I can to make money for my family, but at the end of the day, it just isn’t enough. All paychecks go to bills for the house and groceries.

I know some of you might be wondering how we got in this situation. My dad has been an alcoholic my whole life and is bipolar. Last summer, he lost his mind completely and decided to leave one night and never came back. While he was gone, he locked my mom out of all bank accounts and proceeded to spend every last cent we had. That resulted in every credit card being completely maxed out and nothing left in checking accounts.
