Help Ellie Escape Texas for a Better Future

Hi, my name is Ellie. I'm a 24 year old transgender woman currently living in Texas. I was working full time up until July when my job outsourced my position to a different country and I was laid off with a weeks warning. Due to the increasing legislative pressure against transgender people in the state, I'm looking to flee as soon as possible, ideally September. I am incredibly worried about my medical transition being outlawed and my access to bathrooms in public being restricted. I have visited Chicago in the past and absolutely fallen in love with the city, as my partner is currently living there. I'm looking for any help you can give with raising initial funds for the move, security deposit, getting a new bed and furniture, and overall moving costs. I am also a DJ, so moving to a city with a rich history of dance music culture will help me become more established in DJ'ing as a possible career option.
