Ellie loves her dogs more than anything. She's had them through a lot of hard times and always taken better care of them than herself. Now her baby Mala is losing her second eye and her sight to rapid glaucoma. The surgery will cost about 5k. To make it worse, this is coming right as Ellie's current home lease is ending and we all know moving is expensive with all the fees, deposits, down payments, cleaning the old place, etc. Pair that all with inflation everywhere, paying both home and shop rent, you have a perfect financial storm.
