Hi! Elleon (Leon) has feline infectious peritonitis (FIP aka Feline COVID), which used to have a mortality rate of 96%. Due to current medicines and procedures, that rate has significantly dropped and the survival rate has grown to 80%. However, that is only with treatment. Without it, he will not make it. He also has gingivitis and an upper respiratory infection, none of which is his or our fault. He likely contracted FIP when he was neutered, and it stayed dormant until we got him on antibiotics for his URI. After the antibiotics, he started turning yellow, stopped eating, lost weight, and can't walk straight. He is extremely weak, and we have to give him 7 different medications, which will last up to 84 days. The cost of everything can be up to or more than 5k. But with bills to pay, we need as much help as possible.
