Hello, I'm Ellen Soll. I've lived in the Altadena area for over 40 years. During the recent Eaton Canyon Wildfires that swept through our community and destroyed the home that I purchased in 2009, my daughter and I had to evacuate from our home at 9:00pm the first night of the fires. We discovered the next day at 6:45pm that our house was destroyed from the fire.

My Uncle Earl Boyd is a retired Los Angeles City Firefighter and my cousin Brent Burton a retired Fire Captain from the Los Angeles County Fire Department. I mention this to say how hard I know that our firefighters work! I have lost everything and I need assistance, support or what ever you can contribute to support me and my daughter during this devastation.

The fire has left us with nothing but the clothes on our backs, and rebuilding feels like an uphill battle. While we are thankful to be safe, the loss of everything we've worked so hard for is overwhelming.

We are organizing a fundraiser to help us rebuild, and I am humbly asking for your help. Whether it's through a donation, sharing our fundraiser with others, or simply keeping us in your prayers, your support would mean the world to us.
