Ellen’s Heart is a nonprofit organization focused on connecting children in East LA who are of low income with the opportunity to connect with animals, especially horses, in order to heal and restore from the trauma connected to their life experiences. Ellen’s Heart is a dream that my mother had due to my father having a business in East LA that reached out to the community and gave them the opportunity to dream through his furniture business of having a better life. He would allow them to take and buy this furniture on consignment, which gave them a belief that they could live a better life.

I, Wylma, have been healed through the connection I had as a child with horses. I am raising this money to create a facility where we can transport kids to this property in order for them to heal through animals, especially horses, through the love of animals. It is the goal of Ellen’s Heart.
