Ellen Negrete lost her son Joe unexpectedly on April 4, 2020. Joe's passing comes as a shock to all who know and love him. Due to COVID 19, Ellen cannot travel and is staying with her dear friend Sharon. Ellen wants to bring Joe home to El Paso and once it is allowed, she wishes to have services for him so friends and family can say goodbye.
Ellen, aka Nursie Pooh, spent years and years caring for the Polk Elementary community, and now it is time for us to give back and help her in her time of need. She has a limited retirement income, and we want to be able to assist her with Joe's funeral services. Thank you in advance for your support.
**I have known Ellen since 2004 when we began working together at Polk. She cared for so many of us and our children for her entire career. Ellen Negrete has been designated as the beneficiary of this campaign and all funds raised will go directly for her to aid in the expenses of bringing Joe home to El Paso and funeral expenses. Thank you all for your tremendous outpouring of support in this most difficult time for Ellen.
