This is fundraising for my mom, Ellen Kerr. She was diagnosed with stage 4 non-small lung cancer in April of 2024. There were tumors in the right and left lungs as well as disease in her lymph nodes. She received several rounds of chemotherapy and immunotherapy which were successful and had the upper right lobe of her lung removed to get of the remaining disease in December of 2024. After surgery, the doctors planned to hold all treatments saying they didn’t feel there was anything left to treat in January of 2025. By March, they incidentally found a new tumor in the lower lobe of her right lung. After seeing a radiologist, they recommended a biopsy that showed a totally new cancer, small cell lung cancer. This cancer is considered to be “dangerous” and fast spreading. She started a new chemotherapy drug with immunotherapy. After a few months they repeated scans that showed her tumor actually grew and the cancer has metastasized to her adrenal gland. She is currently receiving radiation which seems to be helping shrink the tumor in her lung. Now she is facing a new anti cancer drug that has many risks and concerns that she is to start in a few weeks.

Many of you that live locally may already know, we are having a benefit to try to raise money for her and my dad. She is traveling 50-75 minutes daily for her treatments right now and those expenses with medical expenses continue to be a burden. This go fund me account is intended to help with those costs and any future needs she may have. Please consider donating, we would be SO very thankful.
