Help Ellen Keep Her Dream AFloat

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jim and I'm a long-time friend of Ellen Wong. Going by the name Superlens on her socials, Ellen is an illustrator, content creator, and convention vendor who needs your help to keep her business afloat. The revenue from her most recent tabling event was stolen straight from her vehicle. Needless to say, she was devastated and heartbroken, having lost about $2,500 which included profits from previous conventions.

As a fellow artist who has known Ellen for the better part of a decade, I felt my heart sink when she informed me of the robbery. She's always had a positive and sunny disposition, and is passionate and confident about her art. We went through art school together, recommended one another to a few jobs over the years, and have even shared several workplaces. I know her to be a hard worker, and these tabling events are no exception: she'd worked so hard for the success that she'd quit her job for, and doesn't deserve this sort of injustice. It's difficult enough to make a living as an artist, let alone suffering such a setback to her business.

As for what had transpired: Ellen had just finished tabling at a 3 day event, selling enamel pins, stickers, art prints, and a large assortment of merchandise. I happened to be at the event when things were wrapping up, so I offered to help her and her tablemates pack their things into their cars. They then decided to have dinner, inviting me along with them, leaving her lockbox in her car unattended. (This is the period of time when we believe her money was stolen.) Not noticing that her lockbox had been opened on the way back, Ellen only came to realize the awful fact when she got home. She then promptly called me upon making this discovery, as I had (as previously stated) helped her pack her belongings; she was trying to make sense of the situation, and was frantic, shaken, and in tears. To her knowledge, no merchandise was taken, but nothing remained in the lockbox.

This is my humble attempt at helping her recuperate her losses. These funds will allow her to continue making her merchandise and living off of her own creations. Knowing Ellen, she will be forever thankful for every ounce of generosity that's shown to her. If this campaign is successful, you'll even get to see your donations bear fruit in the making of more artful creations! Any amount helps.

Hopefully, we can help Ellen get back on her feet as soon as possible so she can continue making a living the way she means to! Thank you for your time!
