Help Elle access her family home with access lift

Donation protected
As a young busy mum and partner, my family had our lives turned upside down when I suffered unexpected spinal nerve and disc damage after the birth of our 3rd child. With no explanation, and no recovery expected.  We were thrown into carnage as a family, a newborn baby to look after, a 1 year old daughter and a 10 year old with additional needs. My fiancé Carl continues to do an amazing job looking after us all, and also works full time as a care officer. After a second emergency spinal surgery this year, we are in desperate need of support for adaptations to our home to help me to become more independent as a mum to our gorgeous family again. I had spent the last two years getting up and downstairs on my bum, causing extra pain and turmoil. However, I  am now unable to do even this, and am restricted to living downstairs on a sofa, and washing in the downstairs w.c.
I have longterm nerve damage,  foot drop, anxiety, loss of leg functions and functional neurological disorder. I am unable to stand or walk independently, and am limited in many of the functions and activities i used to do on a daily basis.
Sadly due to the layout of the house, we are unable to have a stairlift or internal lift fitted. The house is accessed by steep steps, and the staircase inside is narrow and twisted.
The  local authority are limited to the adaptations needed to help,  and so we need to find funds to contribute towards a lift being built outside the house. Which would enable me to access my home, put my children to bed, read them their bedtime stories again, and even have a shower!... as a family we always have ,and continue to help  others wherever possible.  Giving to local charities,  raising  funds for hospices,  donating to food banks, and helping local families and children for Christmas and equipment.  I believe that all good deeds travel around.
I desperately would like to be able to be the mum I was 3 years ago. I know I may not be able to walk independently again, but with the help of yourselves, and the installation of a lift I may be able to safely access our home and help be the family unit that we were three years ago, and dream of being again.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story xx
