Help Eldon Caruthers’ Family Through This Crisis

Hi, my name is Ella Caruthers and I’m the little sister of ELDON CARUTHERS who we all love deeply—my brother, who is now fighting for his life in the ICU in Iowa City.

He was recently the victim of a violent attack at a skate park. The assault was caught on video, showing him choking on his own blood. It’s something no one should ever experience, no matter their past or struggles.

My brother has battled mental illness and addiction, but he is a human being—a son, a brother, and someone who deserves compassion and care. Right now, he needs all the support he can get.

Our mom has had to take off work to be by his side, driving back and forth to Iowa City every day. The financial stress on top of the emotional pain is taking a toll on all of us.

I’m starting this GoFundMe to help ease some of the burden—whether it’s for gas, meals, lodging, medical expenses, or lost wages—anything to help our mom focus on being there for him without worrying about how to afford it all.
