Ella Poe is a woman of deep faith and a heart of gold. As a devoted mother, friend, and community member, she has always been there for others. Recently, Ella faced a life-changing medical crisis—she went into cardiac arrest and suffered multiple strokes, which left her relearning how to walk, use her everyday skills, and strengthen her voice. After spending over a week in the hospital, she was transferred to Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in Chicago, where she has worked hard in rehab for the past three weeks.
Now, Ella’s time at her current facility is coming to an end, and she is determined to continue her recovery at a long-term rehab center in Nashville, close to her only child, Janessa, and extended family. The move is urgent, as she needs to be in Nashville by June 15th to begin the next phase of her healing journey. While Ella is waiting for her short-term disability funds to be processed, the immediate travel and relocation expenses are a significant challenge for her and her family.
Ella’s journey has been a powerful reminder of faith's strength and miracles' reality. Each day, her progress inspires those around her, especially Janessa, who will be supporting her in Nashville. Your support will help cover the costs of Ella & Janessa's move and ensure they can continue their rehabilitation surrounded by loved ones. Every contribution brings Ella one step closer to regaining her independence and living a full, vibrant life again.
