Ella is my 3-year-old French bulldog, and she means absolutely everything to me. She was a special gift for my 16th birthday, and since the day I got her, she has been my best friend, my comfort, and my constant companion. Ella is the sweetest little girl who loves food, cuddles, and making everyone around her smile.
Recently, Ella was diagnosed with IVDD and became paralyzed from the waist down. Watching her go through this has been one of the hardest things my family and I have ever experienced. At first, we hoped medication would help manage her pain, but now she suffers from constant back pain day and night. There have been countless sleepless nights listening to her cry, pant, and struggle to get comfortable. The medications barely work and only seem to help for a couple of hours before the pain comes back again.
The only real chance Ella has to walk again and live without constant pain is surgery and therapy, but the cost is thousands of dollars — far more than we can afford on our own. We are trying everything possible to help her because giving up on her is not an option.
Anyone who knows me knows how deeply I love animals. Ella is not “just a dog” to me — she’s family. Seeing her unable to run, play, or even rest comfortably breaks my heart every single day.
I’m asking for help in any way possible. Whether it’s donating, sharing this post, or simply keeping Ella in your prayers, every bit of support means the world to us. Even $1 can help bring Ella one step closer to the surgery she desperately needs and the chance to live pain-free again.
Thank you for taking the time to read Ella’s story and for helping us fight for her. Your kindness, love, and support truly mean everything to both of us.
