We are raising funds for our dog, Ella, a Boston terrier mix we adopted in 2020 just before the COVID shutdown. Ella has been such a joyful and steady part of our lives ever since. She loves squirrel patrol, wilderness patrol, and being by our side while we do our work for a nonprofit that provides outdoor accessibility to people with disabilities. She brings so much energy, companionship, and heart to our days! And everyone who knows her, knows she’s also dedicated to shouting positive affirmations at everybody - near and far.
Recently, we found a small bump on Ella and had it checked by her veterinary team. They performed a fine needle aspirate and found mast cells, so they want to remove the mass and send it to pathology. Right now, it is suspected to be a mast cell tumor, and we want to move forward with surgery as soon as possible so Ella can get the care she needs. The funds raised will help cover the tumor removal, pathology, medication for recovery, and follow-up care. If you are able to support Ella, we would be deeply grateful. Every donation and share will help us give her the best chance to heal, feel like herself again, and enjoy many more happy years of wilderness patrol.
Attached is the initial quote that we were given, with the higher amount including pathology ($1773 total). We expect it to possibly be higher, since it doesn’t include the post-surgery medications and the pre-surgery bloodwork we did this week was already higher than what was listed.
Truly, anything helps! We appreciate your love, prayers, and uplifting messages.
