FINAL UPDATE: 08/14/2025

It has been a very long time since we have updated you. But today we got the best news we could ask for. Ella is going home tomorrow and has officially completed her treatment. It has been a very very long six months, but she is coming home. She will have to go back for checkups for a year. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your support, prayers, and donations. It meant the world to all of us and we cannot believe all of the support that we received. So from the bottom of our hearts, thank you all so much.

Ella will not be able to go back to school for quite some time, but she will be doing cyber school for now. She is looking forward to seeing all of her classmates when she can return to school.

Both mom and dad have been out of work for about 6 months and they were both denied disability because they did not qualify for benefits. They have both had a significant loss of income and even with Ella coming home, they will be taking her back and forth to doctor's appointments and someone will need to be home with her while she is doing cyber school.

It has been awhile since we have posted an update. Ella is currently in her 3rd of 4 cycles. She has completed the chemotherapy part of her cycle, we are currently waiting for her blood levels to return to a normal range. Once her levels get to a normal range, she will be heading home for her 10 day reprieve and then will return for her last cycle.

She is pretty good spirits. She enjoys her time home with her family and is always wanting to go somewhere when she is home.

As always thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers. She enjoys hearing about everybody asking about her. Please continue to keep Ella and her entire family in your thoughts and prayers.

Update as of 4/27/25. Ella has finished her 2nd round of chemo. Unfortunately
she is very sick this time. She is currently on a course of antibiotics for an infection that they can not get under control. She has a very high fever that will not subside. She is very ill at the moment. The antibiotics have not started to work yet. Please keep the whole family in your thoughts and prayers.

Update as of 4/9/25. Ella is heading back to the hospital today to start her 2nd cycle of chemotherapy. We are hopeful that this cycle will go much smoother than the last one. The hope is she will only be in the hospital for 3 weeks.

She had a very enjoyable time home.

Please continue to keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Update as of 3/31/25. Ella is finally home after 36 days in the hospital. She will be home for about 10 days and then will have to go back for her next cycle. Thank you for all of the donations, thoughts, and prayers.

Update as of 03/12/25:

Hello everyone!! We are overwhelmed by all of the support we have received from the community. So here is an update about Ella. She has hit a couple bumps in the road but she has completed her first cycle of chemotherapy. We are hopefully that she will be able to come home at some point next week.

She will have to return to the hospital after her one week reprieve. She is generally good spirits but she has her days when she just isn't feeling like herself.

She has loved all of the kind words everyone has sent to her. And all of her special gifts.

Please continue to keep Ella and her family in your prayers.

Hi everyone! We just want to post a brief update on Ella. She has been diagnosed with AML. The treatment plan will consist of 4 months of chemotherapy. She will be an inpatient for 3 weeks at a time and then will go home for 1 week and continue this cycle for 4 months.

We are overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and support we have received from everyone.

If anyone would like to send a card to Ella. It can be sent to

Geisinger Danville
100 North Academy Ave

Her room number is 385.

Hi everyone. My name is Kristin and I am reaching out to ask for your support for my sister Nikki, her husband Jeff, and their two amazing children, Ella and Asher. Recently, there lives were turned upside down when their 6 year old daughter Ella was diagnosed with Leukemia. It all started when Ella began experiencing leg pain, which led to a precautionary blood test.

Within hours of getting the results of the test, they were rushing to Geisinger Danville for further testing to determine the type of Leukemia and the best course of treatment.

While they remain hopeful and determined, the road ahead will be long and challenging. Ella is a bright, kind, and empathetic little girl who lights up every room she enters. She is incredibly smart, loving, and cares deeply about her family and friends. She is a fighter and we know she'll face this battle with the same strength and grace she shows everyday.

Ella's big brother Asher, is also deeply affected by this situation. He's a sweet and caring boy who loves his little sister dearly. Asher is doing his best to be strong for his Ella, but this process is a lot for a young child to process. Nikki and Jeff are doing everything they can to support both their children during this incredibly difficult time.

As Ella begins her treatment, Nikki and Jeff will need to take time off work to be by her side for countless appointments, hospital stays, and for her recovery. This means they will be facing significant financial strain during an already emotionally difficult time. We're raising these funds to help ease the burden of lost income and mounting expenses so they can focus entirely on Ella's health and well-being.

Every dollar donated will go directly toward supporting the family during this critical time. If you are able to contribute, no amount is too small, and your kindness will mean the world to them. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser or keeping Ella and her family in your thoughts and prayers. Together, we can help Nikki, Jeff, and Ella navigate this challenging journey.

With gratitude,
The Traver Family
