Hi, I’m Ella. I’m a 16-year-old girl in high school, trying to achieve my dream of being a nurse, and my late grandmother, Nana Beth, wanted me to achieve that dream. So I am. Recently, I was personally nominated by George Mason University to attend their National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF) of Healthcare & Medicine. This is a big achievement for me because I was selected by one of my peers and got told I have great potential for this program. This opportunity means a lot to me because it shows that someone believes in my potential and my future in healthcare.
Unfortunately, the tuition for the program is between $3,999 and $4,599 for the week-long experience at the university I choose to attend. As a high school student, this cost is difficult for my family to cover on our own. That is why I am reaching out and asking for support.
Any contribution, big or small, would help me take a step closer to my dream and allow me to participate in a program that could change my future. Even sharing my story would mean so much. Thank you for taking the time to read about my goal and for supporting a student who wants to make a difference in healthcare.
