Over a week ago, a co-worker's two young children went out the door of their home in Elkhart near McNaughton Park and ran into the yard towards the St. Joe river. Tragically, their two-year-old fell into the river and was carried downstream by the rushing current. The father immediately jumped into the river to try to save the toddler but could not fight the current to catch up to his son. Thankfully, a kind stranger downstream jumped into the river and managed to rescue the toddler.
The young boy was taken by ambulance to the hospital, then was flown to Riley‘s Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis and is under life-support medical care.
This family urgently needs financial support to assist with unexpected medical expenses and bills during this difficult time.
The child’s father works at Chubby Trout, the mother works at Flippin Cow. Cam & Sue Snyder graciously paid them for last week's lost wages but that doesn’t even begin to cover the financial burden this tragedy has put on their family.
Any contribution would be greatly appreciated to help this family in need through this challenging time.
