Help Eljay Walk Again – After a Devastating Crash
Eljay Gibode, a young Jamaican man full of life and ambition, is now fighting to walk again after a serious motor bike accident. He suffered a Grade 2 open fracture to his right tibia, a concussion, and a suspected cervical spine injury.
Due to the severity of his injuries, he urgently needs:
A cervical spine CT scan
Surgical intervention to stabilize the tibia
A circular (ring) external fixator set
Steinmann pin and suture anchors for bone fixation
These items are not readily available through Jamaica’s public healthcare system, and his family must pay out of pocket or source them independently. Public hospitals often lack the supplies or timely access to specialized scans, so patients like Eljay are left waiting while their condition worsens—or they must find the money fast.
The estimated cost for scans and surgical hardware exceeds JMD 200,000, and that does not include hospitalization, follow-up care, or rehabilitation.
Your donation—no matter how small—can help Eljay get the care he urgently needs. Without it, he faces the risk of permanent disability or life-altering complications.
