Hi everyone, my name is Mac Plagens and I am creating this Go Fund Me for my brother in Christ, Charles and his wife Elizabeth.

On Thursday morning, Elizabeth, a loving wife, mother, and woman of faith, suffered a sudden cardiac arrest at just 36 years old. Her husband found her unresponsive, and after performing CPR and countless prayers, paramedics were finally able to bring her back. Doctors say there is no explanation for her survival other than God’s grace.

Elizabeth has since been diagnosed with heart failure. She is undergoing surgery to have an ICD defibrillator implanted, a device that will shock her heart back into rhythm if it stops again. While we are so grateful she is alive, her journey to recovery will be long. She will need constant support, will not be able to drive or be left alone for some time, and will remain in the hospital through this week and possibly longer.

Elizabeth is a woman who has dedicated her life to helping others. She works with women in treatment, and has walked alongside mothers fighting to reunite with their children. She has overcome so much adversity, always giving her time, strength, and faith to those who need it most. Now, she and her family need our help.

Elizabeth and her husband are raising their two beautiful children, Charlie (4) and Chloe (6). Just weeks ago, little Charlie underwent surgery to close a hole from his G-tube that would not heal on its own. After years of being in and out of the hospital, Charlie is finally thriving, eating on his own, and gaining weight for the first time in his life. But with these medical struggles, the family has already carried heavy emotional and financial burdens.

With Elizabeth in the hospital and facing restrictions after surgery, the family is in urgent need of help with:
