Help Elizabeth Yu in her fight against Leukemia

There are not enough good words to say about Elizabeth. She is a kind, hardworking, loving mother of 3 young boys (ages 5, 3, and 1) who is currently in a hard battle with Leukemia. In June of 2021 Elizabeth was first diagnosed with rare T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Through months of chemotherapy, full body radiation, and multiple hospital stays, she was able to achieve remission in November of 2021. She then received a bone marrow transplant in January of 2022. She recently relapsed just shy of her one year anniversary of her bone marrow transplant. Although this news is devastating for her and her whole family she is continuing her fight.

She is currently in the process of working with her doctors at Rochester Wilmot Cancer Center for the best treatment plan possible to get back into remission. This also includes talking with doctors across the country for second opinions on treatment. Due to the type of leukemia, a treatment plan will likely result in an out of state clinical trial. The closest city running a qualifying trial for Elizabeth is in St. Louis. Plans are underway for a visit in January of 2023. Eventually she will need to undergo a second bone marrow transplant. As one could imagine all of this will come with significant financial hurdles for her and her family. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The funds will be used to help pay medical bills and travel expenses (flights, hotels, etc.) during her treatment and recovery. Funds will also be used to help support her family at home while she is away or being treated as an inpatient or recovering (meals, childcare, etc.). If funds exceed the amount needed by her family, they have committed to donating the remaining balance to Anna’s Wish. Anna's Wish is a non-profit charity that provides gifts/services for children dealing with pediatric cancer and their families that they cannot obtain on their own.
