Help Elizabeth Recover After Tragic Accident

Elizabeth is a 60-year-old Registered Nurse who has dedicated her life to caring for others. I met her in a doctor's office waiting room, where I found her sitting in a wheelchair quietly sobbing. Her pain was so intense and persistent she truly did not know if she could go on. When I approached her to offer help, she shared her story with me, and I was deeply moved by her strength and vulnerability.

Elizabeth's life changed dramatically when she was hit by another vehicle while driving to teach a Certified Nursing Assistant class. The accident caused severe damage to her body, resulting in excruciating agony. In December 2025, she underwent two separate surgeries—one on her knee and a second on her spine. Even after these operations, Elizabeth continues to experience overwhelming pain and faces difficulty with ordinary tasks like preparing food or moving around her home. She has no one at home to help her, and after surgery, just getting to the fridge has become a major ordeal. Always self-reliant, she now has to rely on others for nearly everything.

Despite already having two operations, Elizabeth is still in considerable pain and may need more surgery on her spine. It will be many months before she is recovered enough to return to work. Her insurance provider has been slow to send out the latest check, even though they have been court-ordered to pay. As a result, Elizabeth has not been able to pay her rent for three months and is now facing eviction. With no money and no hope of returning to work in the near future, she is at risk of becoming homeless.

The funds raised will be used to rent a first-floor apartment for at least four months, pay utility bills, and buy groceries. I will transfer the funds directly to Elizabeth to ensure she receives the help she needs. Thank you so very much for giving what you can. Even if you can't help financially, please share Elizabeth's story with others. Your support and kindness will make a real difference in her life as she works toward recovery and stability.
