On July 4th, my Aunt Elizabeth experienced the unimaginable when the devastating Guadalupe flood swept through her home and community. In a matter of hours, she lost everything... her home, all her belongings, and decades of memories. To make matters worse, she was denied flood insurance, leaving her with no financial safety net to begin rebuilding.

My aunt is one of the most vibrant, creative, and beautiful souls I have ever met. She has never met a stranger, listens intently to others, and opens her heart and home to everyone without hesitation. She has always managed to see the silver lining in every circumstance, and I know this will be no different. But in this challenging moment, I am honored to have the opportunity to help her in return . I believe in God's ability to bring redemption...to bring beauty from the ashes by using humanity to love and support one another during difficult times.
