I recently had the transmission go out on my Ford Escape, and the repair cost is overwhelming.

I still owe $7,500 on the car, and the mechanic quoted me $7,600 to fix it. This unexpected expense has left me shocked and without a way to move forward

I live paycheck to paycheck, and there is simply no room in my budget to cover both a repair and another car payment. Right now, I don't even have a vehicle to get to and from work, which makes things even harder.
