Hi, we’re Elizabeth and Judy. After years of trying to grow our family, we’re at a turning point. This isn’t easy to share, but we’re opening up about our journey to parenthood and how your support could help us finally bring our baby home.
Since 2021, we’ve poured everything into trying to become moms: our time, energy, savings, and hearts. I (Elizabeth) have gone through multiple fertility treatments—several IUIs, FETs, two IVF cycles, hormone regimens, and various procedures—with months of emotional highs and lows, always hoping the next try would be the one. As my doctor once put it, I’ve gone “way beyond the good ol’ college try.” And he wasn’t wrong. After several years, it’s become clear that getting pregnant on my own just isn’t happening, despite everything we’ve tried. And because Judy has a heart condition, it’s never been a safe option for her either. So after years of loss, effort, and quiet heartbreak, we realized we had to look beyond what we originally imagined.
With the help of IVF, we were able to create healthy embryos and then something amazing happened: Judy connected with a kind, compassionate surrogate who is willing to help us bring our child into the world. For the first time in a long time, it feels like we’re really close to becoming parents. But surrogacy in the U.S. is expensive and we’ve already spent much of our savings just to get here. We’re turning to our community to help us cross this final stretch. The funds will go toward a portion of our surrogate’s compensation, medical and legal costs, and to ensure she’s supported and cared for every step of the way. She’s giving us a gift we can never repay, and we want to do this with deep care and fairness.
