For more than twenty years, Elizabeth has dedicated her career to serving as an Executive Assistant to senior officials of the Philippines Department of Energy, where she has supported critical initiatives and day-to-day operations with professionalism and commitment.
She has now been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and breast cancer. Her doctors have explained that it is extraordinarily rare to be fighting two different cancers at the same time, which makes her case uniquely complex and difficult to treat. Treatment for AML has already begun, while diagnostic tests for breast cancer are still ongoing. We are hopeful that there may be individuals in the United States, whether doctors or pharmaceutical groups conducting clinical trials, who can provide much-needed assistance.
She has already paid more than $15,000 USD (₱885,000 PHP) out of pocket for her hospitalization, a bone marrow test, and surgery to remove and biopsy the lump. Despite her strength and sacrifice, the financial burden is overwhelming.
Going forward, Elizabeth will need treatments (chemotherapy, platelet blood transfusion, red blood cell transfusion and radio therapy for breast) and ongoing care that cost about $5,000 USD (₱$280,000 PHP) each month. These treatments will not only help prolong her life, but also ensure she is comfortable, cared for, and surrounded with hope as she continues this fight.
This fundraiser is organized by her sister Anna and her niece Aly, who want nothing more than to make sure Elizabeth gets the care she needs.
Elizabeth has always been more than just a sister, daughter, and aunt. After Anna and Elizabeth lost both of their parents when Anna was still a teenager, Elizabeth stepped in to fill that void. Later, while Anna was working toward becoming a U.S. citizen, Elizabeth lovingly looked after Aly and Arielle, raising them as her own. To this day, she remains a second mother to them, a guiding hand, and a constant source of strength.
Now, Elizabeth needs our strength. Every donation, big or small, will go directly toward covering her monthly treatments, hospital care, and medications.
If you are unable to give, please consider sharing this campaign with your friends, family, and community. Your generosity, prayers, and support mean more than words can express.
From our hearts, thank you for helping us care for Elizabeth during this most difficult time.
