Help Elizabeth Buy Her First Oboe

Hi!! I’m Elizabeth. In the fall, I’m moving away from my hometown to study music education and oboe at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA. I’m hoping to raise money to purchase an oboe of my own, to support me through my undergrad and hopefully to last me many years to come!

A little about my oboe journey:

I’ve been playing the oboe for two years now. I started my music journey by doing choir for years as a kid, and later playing the flute and violin in high school. I was later inspired to challenge myself and learn the oboe with tons of support from my band director and my parents. These past two years, I’ve independently supported the financial side of my passion as a musician from my baking business, Elizabeth’s Pastries, and by working a part-time job during the summer and holidays event throughout the year as a Recreation Leader under the city of Banning. These two jobs have helped me pay for my reeds, weekly private lessons, sheet music/books, and involvement in programs like the San Bernardino Symphony Youth Orchestra.

I’m currently still playing on my old high school’s instrument until I move to college and have to give it back. I’ve currently saved up to $2k so I’ve started this GoFundMe to further support what I have saved and to purchase a professional, good quality instrument by the end of August.
