Help Elizabeth and Morgan compete for Australia
Elizabeth Newell and Morgan Hodgson have been invited to represent Australia at this year's Commonwealth Rowing Beach Sprint Regatta in Namibia, Africa - on December 2, 2022. Elizabeth and Morgan each won several gold medals at the inaugural Australian Beach Sprint and Coastal rowing regatta across several events, including the single, double and quadruple sculls. Michael Russell, a UQBC coach, will also be attending.
Beach Sprint rowing is a new rowing format in Australia. As a result, Rowing Australia does not fund attendance at this international event. Elizabeth, Morgan and Michael will self-fund all costs, including flights, accommodation, and transport. With the estimated costs of around $6000 per person (totaling $18,000), any financial contributions will significantly help complete training, and best represent Australia and the University of Queensland Boat Club in Namibia.
We would sincerely appreciate any help you would be willing to give us; any amount would help, and all will go directly into supporting our attendance. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to promote or support you or your business in return.
