Help Elizabeth and Hunter Find a Safe Home

Hi everyone!

My name is Elizabeth Jones, and I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart, seeking help for myself and my son, Hunter.

In August 2014, I married the man I thought I'd spend my life with. Sadly, over the past 20 years our marriage became increasingly difficult, marked by significant emotional and verbal abuse. In May 2024, I made the incredibly difficult decision to leave this toxic environment and create a safe space for my son and myself. My oldest daughter Skylar lives in Derry, Nh and my middle daughter Dakota is a student at Plymouth State University, and I couldn't be prouder of the women they are becoming and building their own safe space!

The Exeter Inn has been a lifeline for us, graciously providing a temporary employee room. We are deeply grateful for their kindness and support during this challenging time. However, our time here is coming to an end at the end of April 2025, and we need to find a new home.

Since our separation, my husband has provided minimal financial support, only purchasing a few pairs of paints a Halloween costume for Hunter. He has stated he will not provide financial assistance until a court order is in place, and the process is still on-going even though I have filed a motion with the court for emergency child support.

I am faced with the daunting task of finding an apartment without the necessary funds for a deposit and initial rental. I am reaching out to our community to help to raise funds to help cover:

-First few months of rent: To bridge the gap while we await financial support from the court system and the divorce is finalized. I filed for divorce on December 16th, 2024.
