Help Eliza and Zach Rebuild After Alexander Mountain Fire
Donation protected
On August 1st Eliza and Zach received the devastating news that their home and its entire contents were destroyed in the Alexander Mountain Fire.
They were out of service in the backcountry when the fire broke out and therefore had no time to gather any irreplaceable and memorable items. They are both absolutely devastated by this loss. Originally, they thought their beloved cat, Yaro, had perished, but the pet sitter was able to safely evacuate him to a shelter. They are so grateful to her for saving their baby’s life.
Zach and Eliza are uncertain as to whether or not their insurance will cover all of the rebuilding costs. While cherished keepsakes can never be replaced, they are hoping to put things back together over time with the love and support from their community.
Many of you have reached out asking how you can help during this burdensome time. Please know that your kindness is much appreciated. This Go Fund Me has been created to ease the financial burden of replacing their home and lost items.
Sharing on social media will help a great deal if you are unable to donate at this time. Thank you so much.
A note from Eliza and Zach:
“We recognize that while we have just lost our home, and all of our possessions, there are many who are not fortunate to have a home to lose. If the proceeds collected from our Go Fund Me request are more than we need, the rest will be donated to local nonprofits for the homeless and other disadvantaged members of our community.”
