Help Elisha's Family Rebuild After Fire
Donation protected
I am writing on behalf of one of my coworkers to raise awareness about a community hero in need. In the early hours of Saturday, April 26th, a devastating fire engulfed an apartment building. Elisha, her partner Jay, and Elisha's four children—Savion (21), Jalen (19), Amaya (16), and Josiah (12)—managed to escape safely but have lost everything, including their home.
Ms. Elisha has dedicated eight years to working in childcare and currently serves as an infant teacher at a local childcare center, caring for babies aged six weeks to twelve months. Her oldest son also contributes to the community by working with school-aged children at PAL, an afterschool program, for the past four years.
Elisha's health has been challenging; she has endured three strokes in the past twelve months while still showing unwavering commitment to nurturing the youngest members of our community and supporting their families.
Now, it is our turn to extend love, strength, hope, and encouragement to this family. In addition to positive thoughts and good wishes, they require immediate financial support, clothing, everyday essentials, and shelter.
Amaya attends Troy Prep and will need new uniforms as well as weekend clothing, undergarments, and shoes. She is a women's size medium and wears a size 9.5 in women's shoes.
Josiah is a student at Pine Hills Elementary School and requires men's medium clothing and size 8 men's shoes.
Elisha wears a women's size 2X and a size 9.5 in shoes, while Jay wears a size XL in men's clothing. The two older boys, Savion and Jalen, are in immediate need of socks and undergarments.
I get it—times are tough and wallets are feeling the squeeze. But even a tiny bit of help can be a big lifeline for this family right now. If you'd prefer to give some direct financial love, just let me know and I'll send over their Venmo details. Thanks for thinking about lending a helping hand!
