Thank you to everyone taking the time to read this. I, Doris Fox am reaching out to you today to help Alisha Szepielak, with your prayers and financial help. I have known her for 17 years since she started cleaning my home when I was expecting my youngest son. She came to the US with her family over 20 years ago. Eight years ago her husband died of cancer. This 64 year old grandmother gets by on a $1,200/month Social Security benefit from her husband and money she makes cleaning. She is always thinking of helping others and has been sending money each month to Poland to help pay for care for her invalid mother.
Now I want to step in and help her. On Dec. 31 Alisha had a stroke that left her right side paralyzed and her speech impaired. Her daughter, son-in-law and friends are doing all they can but they are overwhelmed. Her daughter has a beauty salon and an 18 month old to care for as well . Her husband is taking time off work to care for their son so she stay stay with her mom in the hospital and now nursing home/rehab as much as possible.
Starting today please pray a Novena of Divine Mercy Chaplets for her continued recovery and for the intercession of Fr. Walter Ciszek. Already she is regaining some movement in her right leg but being in this helpless condition has left her depressed as well.
To add to this already difficult situation Alisha has no health insurance. Her daughter was able to apply for Medicaid but it is pending and may take months to begin. At the nursing home they won't start rehab until Medicaid starts. Early rehab is critical for stroke recovery so they are trying to get her home this Friday and line up rehabilitation at home.

Her daughter would never ask for financial help but I will! The nursing home has already given them the first bill and want to take it out of her January SS check leaving her $60 for the month. I know it would be such a relief to the family to know that when they bring her home on Friday they have the funds to start rehab right away.
A friend of mine saw amazing results with his wife recovering from paralysis and speech impairment using acupuncturist who treats stroke patients and they can start next week with your help! Please remember Alisha in your prayers since all healing comes from God.
My goal is to raise $8045 for the following expenses:
$1100 nursing home bill
$1300 lifting bed
$2000 Three months of acupuncture treatment (won't ever be covered by Medicaid)
$1000 speech therapy
$1600 physical therapy
$400 home care
$200 wheel chair
$300 portable wheel chair ramp
$145 bathing transfer bench
