Hi, my name is Summer Sheng and I’m fundraising on behalf of my sister, Elise Maygren.

Elise recently experienced speech arrest, which prompted doctors to seek an MRI.  On Thursday, March 31, 2022, the MRI revealed that Elise had a large tumor in her brain.  She was immediately scheduled for emergency surgery at UCSF hospital that next Tuesday.  During surgery, doctors discovered more tumors.  They removed as many as they could, but at least five tumors remain, and they are spreading quickly.  The tumors are Grade 3, Oligodendroglioma.

She will be starting 6 weeks of radiation and 9 months of chemo to hopefully stop the growth of these 5 tumors and give her as much time as possible.

If you know Elise then you know how selfless she is and is always putting others needs before her own. We are hoping to raise money for her medical expenses and when her treatment is all over we want her to spend the time she has with her family doing what she’s always wanted to do but never has, “Elise’s Bucket List!” Whatever is remaining will be given to the kids for education which is something Elise has always been passionate about.

Our goal is to raise 50,000 to help with Elise’s expenses, including:
