My name is Jo Ralston-Asumendi and I am trying to help my friend Elise Martin as she faces tremendous financial issues currently. In her words:

My husband, Lee, has worked hard all his life, until last Sunday when he had a stroke. He's in an inpatient rehabilitation center, where he'll be for the next 2-3 weeks, pushing to recover as much movement on his right side as possible. Though he has insurance, his deductible is not met so he'll still be responsible for 20% of the bills, including his 4-day hospitalization and 2 previous ER visits 6 weeks ago for, what we now know, were TIA's. Additionally, last month we found out that our shower subfloor is rotted out, there's a major leak in one of the shower walls, and the whole bathroom has to be demolished and sheet rocked (approximately $6000 or more). Also, the pipe from our house to the sewer must be replaced ($1600). These were already catastrophic expenses for us. Anything you can give would be deeply appreciated.
