Help Elise and David to keep their family home

Hello Community, my name is Elena and I have set up this GoFundMe to help Elise and David and their beautiful family that found themselves in a very difficult situation due to sudden illness and are on a brink of losing their family home.

Dave and Elise started building their dream house in 2021 with many visions of community, a place where mothers and kids can gather. Unfortunately, with significant increases in building prices and interest rates going through the roof, the cost of their dream home became way more expensive than originally planned.

At the start of February 2023, out of nowhere, Dave started getting sick and within a couple of weeks became bedridden unable even to get up without help. They were going endlessly to the hospital to find answers for his excruciating pain but it took weeks of various doctors to finally get a diagnosis of an autoimmune condition that triggered Rheumatoid Arthritis. Dave is in extreme amount of pain constantly and is unable to move or care for himself.

They barely managed to get part of the house finished and moved in 2 days before Elise gave birth to their second daughter Bindi on the 7th of March.

They are finding themselves in a very vulnerable situation with bills to be paid, no end in sight to Dave’s illness and Elise healing at home with their 2 children.

Their only solution right now is to either raise money or they will have to sell the house they worked so hard for, where their daughter was born and where they thought they would finally settle.

The last 2 years have been incredibly stressful with many setbacks with the build, cost increasing, pressure to finish the house before the baby come, having to totally rethink their birth as they were going to free birth… and finally Dave’s illness. So much stress and so much uncertainty.

I am calling on the community to help them get out of this situation and give them some relief, to help them pay for the bills they still need to pay and help with finishing part of the house required by their mortgage.

So they can rest and heal.

Their old house was build on 700m2 block, this house is build on a 3100m2 block with a lot of established trees which gives it lots of privacy. It has 5 bedrooms, 2 with ensuites, outside shower and bath out of the main bedroom, a yoga studio, a fire circle and a separate 2 bedroom studio. It is a stunning and quiet paradise only a short drive from the beach and is perfect for a family holiday or a friends get together.
