Elisabeth was on track to complete her fifth year of general surgery residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center this summer, until a sudden onset of symptoms was followed in close succession by multiple appointments and a diagnosis of advanced renal cell carcinoma. 

Things have happened very quickly this past week. We haven’t even considered the monetary side of things yet but have heard that many people are asking how they can contribute to the cost of treatment.

 If you know Liz, you know how incredibly hard-working she is. She has given so much of herself to her patients and her residency; she deserves far better than this turn of events.
