This family is facing a challenge they never saw coming. Elisa Deckelmann has been diagnosed with stage 3 tonsil cancer and has begun an aggressive treatment plan that requires daily radiation and weekly chemotherapy at the Mays Cancer Center in San Antonio.

She and her husband, Leo Deckelmann, have had to temporarily relocate from Fort Stockton to San Antonio to access the specialized care she needs. This means being away from home five days a week for several weeks, leading to a growing list of unexpected expenses. Between gas, lodging, meals, parking, and time off work, the financial strain is adding up quickly.
