Help 4-Year-Old Elijah Valmond Fight Leukemia

No parent is ever prepared to hear the words, "Your child has leukemia."

At just 4 years old, Elijah Valmond has been diagnosed with leukemia, and his mother, Verona Valmond, is now facing the most difficult journey of her life. Instead of enjoying the carefree days of childhood, Elijah is preparing to fight a disease that no child should ever have to face.

Verona lives in Dominica, where the specialized treatment Elijah needs is unfortunately not available. To give him the best chance at recovery, she must travel with him to Barbados, where he can receive the life-saving medical care he urgently needs.

The cost of traveling to another country for treatment is overwhelming. Medical expenses, airfare, accommodations, meals, transportation, and time away from work will place an enormous financial burden on their family during an already heartbreaking time.

I have created this fundraiser on Verona's behalf so that friends, family, and compassionate supporters around the world can come together to help. All funds raised will be sent directly to Verona Valmond to help cover Elijah's medical treatment and the expenses associated with traveling to Barbados for his care.
