Help Our Dad Through His Recovery Post Leg Amputation
Last October, our dad, Deacon Elijah Sellers, was diagnosed with sarcoma in his lower left leg. He went through five weeks of radiation therapy, which was not successful, and the only option left was a below-the-knee amputation. Through it all, he has shown incredible strength and faith. Now, as he learns to adjust to an entirely new way of life, he is also facing the weight of medical bills and the waiting period before disability benefits are approved. His doctors estimate 4–6 months of recovery before he can return to work.
Our dad is one of the most humble men you’ll ever meet. He’s not the type to ask for help — in fact, starting a fundraiser is the last thing he would ever want to do. But we, his children, believe he shouldn’t have to carry this burden alone. What he’s going through is truly life-changing, and the reality is that anyone in his position would need help.
We are raising $10,000 to help cover:
• Medical bills and ongoing rehabilitation
• A prosthetic leg and mobility support
• Living expenses while he cannot work
Our dad has spent his life working with his hands as a carpenter — building, providing, and serving others. Now it’s our turn to build support around him. Every contribution, whether it’s financial, sharing this page, or simply offering words of encouragement, will make a difference and remind him that he is not alone.
Thank you for standing with us and being part of his journey to healing.
With love and gratitude,
The Sellers Family
