My name is Elijah, and I’m reaching out because I’m facing a difficult chapter in my life. A spinal injury has left me in constant, excruciating pain and unable to work enough hours to provide for my family. I have four young children, ages 15, 11, 6 and 3, and it breaks my heart that I can’t play with them or help my wife around the house like I used to. Even simple tasks like cleaning, cooking, or picking up my kids have become nearly impossible. Some days, the pain is so severe that I struggle to breathe properly.

Last year, I was able to get a radio frequency ablation on my lumbar spine, which gave me a glimpse of my old life back—I could play with my children and be the father they deserve. Unfortunately, the nerves have grown back, and I now need another procedure, as well as a new ablation on my thoracic spine. These treatments are expensive, and because I can’t work full time, I simply can’t afford them. The bills are piling up, and I worry every day about losing our car, our utilities, or even our home.
