Please know we are deeply grateful for everyone who has contributed and offered support.
Some recent developments have come to light that are deeply concerning and may significantly impact our family. Out of an abundance of caution and care, we are actively working to protect the health and welfare of everyone involved.
Until we have more clarity, we are placing a temporary pause on all fundraising efforts. We ask for your continued prayers and understanding as we navigate this situation with wisdom and grace.

Our son Elijah was airlifted from Southwest Memorial Hospital in Cortez, Colorado to Children’s Hospital in Colorado Springs to avert a life-threatening diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) crisis.
By God's grace, he is still with us—but the costs are staggering.
Before this life-changing Monday, Elijah was a healthy, active 7-year-old. No symptoms. No warning signs. Just a sudden, terrifying shift. His grandparents noticed erratic behavior and, after a quick test, discovered his blood sugar had spiked—first over 400, then over 600.
These numbers signaled a dangerous case of hyperglycemia that could have led to seizures, coma, or worse. Elijah was rushed to the ER, stabilized briefly, and transferred to another hospital with an on-site endocrinologist.
What followed was a nightmare: sleepless nights, constant blood tests, IV bags, and trauma no child should endure. We lay on each side of Elijah, trying to comfort him, fighting back tears, trying to be strong for and with him.
As his father, I had to hold him down and administer shots to stabilize his condition. It was heartbreaking.
With some training and family knowledge of diabetes, we know this battle is uphill. But we’re committed to walking it out with Elijah every step of the way.
Here’s how your support helps:
- Covers thousands in hospital bills from the emergency airlift and care
- Provides $400 per round of life-saving medicines and supplies
- Supports ongoing endocrinology visits, glucose monitoring, and trauma recovery
Every donation brings us closer to stability and gives Elijah the chance to keep fighting. This crisis has brought our families together—and we’re asking for your help to keep Elijah safe and strong.
If you can’t give, please share. We’re grateful for every prayer, every dollar, and every act of kindness.
Thank you for standing with us and Eli.
