Help Elijah Get the Dyslexia Evaluation He Desperately Needs
Hello, my name is Katie Miller, I’m reaching out on behalf of my son, Elijah. Since kindergarten, Elijah has faced significant challenges in school, particularly with reading and writing. Despite his hard work and determination, he struggles daily, and it’s taken a toll on his confidence and academic progress.
We suspect that Elijah has dyslexia, a common learning difference that affects reading and writing skills. To provide him with the support he needs, Elijah requires a comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation to receive an official diagnosis. This diagnosis is crucial as it will allow him to access an Individualized Education Program (IEP) and a 504 Plan, ensuring he receives the necessary accommodations throughout his educational journey, including college.
The evaluation is scheduled for May 6, 2025, and the total cost is $2,830. Unfortunately, our insurance does not cover this testing, and the appointment was moved up from November, leaving us with limited time to gather the necessary funds.
We’re reaching out to our community for support. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to providing Elijah with the tools he needs to succeed. Your generosity will directly impact his future, helping him regain confidence and thrive academically.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign with your friends and family would mean the world to us. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any assistance you can provide.
