Help Elijah Fight His Tumor

Friends and Family, during a routine visit to the orthodontist; my son, Elijah was diagnosed with a rare aggressive tumor called Ameloblastoma. Although, thankfully; benign it grows into the jawbone and can affect his ability to speak, obstruct his nasal airways, pain in his jawbone as well as loss of teeth. Sadly, Elijah already began to feel the effects of the tumor and the only option was surgery. Elijah will have to endure a 14hr surgery today as well as a second one soon after. Since the tumor has grown aggressively, the doctors must open from the outside of his cheek to cut into the jawbone, consequently they will have to remove all his teeth in upper right quadrant. That in itself has him very scared and sad. As we can all imagine, this is a lot for a 14yr old boy to process and go through. Although my son has been terrified, he has kept his faith and remained optimistic. The road to recovery will be a long one. He will be limited to a many of the activities he enjoys and will sadly be homeschooled. Those of you who know Elijah know that he is one of the most kind and humble kids you'll meet with an incredible creative mind. Like a typical 14yr old boy he loves sports with a particular passion for football, track and field and wrestling. He's an incredible artist and has demonstrated an impressive ability to build and create all kind of models from scratch with little or no help. Recently, he made his own batman costume for Comic Con. This financial burden has hit my family unexpectedly and the insurance coverage will run out quickly due to the extent and nature of the surgeries. All we are asking is for help with his medical bills, which are for his facial reconstruction surgery and replacing his teeth. Please keep my son in your prayers as we embark in this long journey.
