ELIJAH - STRONGER THAN CANCER

Help Support Elijah on his Healing Journey with Osteosarcoma (Bone Cancer).

At just 18 years old, life for Manchester lad Elijah changed forever.

A pupil of Parrs Wood High School and an A-level student at Xaverian College, Elijah had dreams of a bright future.

In 2022, Elijah began studying Investment Management at Northumbria University, full of ambition and excitement for what lay ahead.

A Journey No Young Person Should Face

Elijah began experiencing increasing and severe leg pain. Despite repeatedly seeking medical help, his symptoms were dismissed. It took months and multiple hospital visits before he was finally diagnosed with osteoblastic osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer that primarily affects children and young adults. What followed was a gruelling life-altering journey:

Elijah endured intensive chemotherapy and immunotherapy, alongside four major surgeries. Throughout it all, Elijah showed extraordinary strength, resilience, and determination. His medical team was astonished by his recovery, crediting his dedication to rehabilitation for outcomes that far exceeded expectations.

In May 2024, after months of relentless treatment, we finally received the news we had been praying for — Elijah was cancer-free.

A Future Reclaimed — Until Now

Rather than letting the experience define him, Elijah began reclaiming his life. He committed himself to a rigorous rehabilitation programme, intensive physiotherapy, and holistic healing to support his recovery. His mindset was clear: move forward, heal fully, and live.

2025 was a positive year. Elijah began reconnecting with life in the way any 21-year-old should. He has volunteered his time to support other young people going through cancer treatment and attended peer support groups sharing his journey. He has recently applied for an Investment Operations Specialist apprenticeship, due to start September 2026 and was looking forward to starting driving lessons. His future once again looked full of promise.

The Cancer Has Returned

In November 2025, following a routine X-ray, Elijah and his family received devastating news — the cancer had returned to one of his lungs. Their world shaken once more.

Elijah is due to have further surgery in Jan 2026, and while NHS conventional treatment options are being explored, Elijah’s family are also pursuing every possible avenue that could give him the best chance of survival, including treatments not available on the NHS.

Why Elijah Needs Your Help

The family are actively pursuing all viable treatment options, including:

A clinical trial in the United States. (ClinicalTrials.gov ID: NCT05726383) Elijah currently fits the eligibility criteria for this clinical trial and the family are in contact with MD Anderson clinic in Austin Texas. All being well, the trial will go ahead following NHS surgery and treatment.

Ongoing care at the Wellbeing Integrated Oncology Clinic in London, which is privately funded.

Elijah is currently receiving high-dose intravenous Vitamin C infusions twice weekly, a therapy supported by growing scientific research for its potential role alongside conventional cancer treatments.

These treatments, while hopeful, must be funded privately. Family savings have already been used to start the Vitamin C infusions, however without support, treatment may have to stop within the next four weeks.
