Help Elijah Bring Change to Chicago

Hello all, my name is Elijah and thank you in advance for hearing me out. I wasn't going to make a GoFundMe because I don't like asking for money, but in order to be a great social worker and help others, I need to know when to take a step back and ask for help myself.

From the moment I was born, the enemy went to work in his quest to destroy. Afflicting me with a life-altering disability that I wouldn't wish on anyone. Believe it or not, he even tried ending my life before it even began. I was born with dry blood on my brain and had to endure surgery at a young age (I was less than a month old). Being that young, the surgery was just too much for my little body, so my life had ended for 15 minutes. The only reason I am here today is through the grace of God; that he had an assignment for me that would change the world.

Now what that assignment was... it would be years before I realized it, but in the meantime, the enemy had not given up with his quest to destroy. People did not hold back when it came to reminding me that I had a disability. Literally everyday it was nonstop bullying (I wish I was exaggerating). The enemy knew exactly what to do in order to not only distract me from learning my assignment from God, but to add insult to injury made me feel hopeless, worthless, and undesiring of love.

Fastforward several years, I still have demons from my past that I am tirelessly working toward defeating, and we all know, fighting off your demons can prove difficult. However, over the years, I have grown tremendously in my walk with Jesus, and in that walk, I finally understood my assignment

My God-given assignment is to bring mental clarity and freedom to individuals through therapy. After that realization God expanded by informing me that everything thing I went through from the consent bullying, dying on the operating table, and having Cerebral Palsy was all a part of the masterpiece God was creating. Fastforward a few more years, this walk has led me to relocating to Chicago because there is a huge need for social workers. God believes that I can offer the good people of Chicago something that they have never seen before. If God thinks so, who am I to say no. Therefore, I am going to figure out how to get there somehow because where there is a will, there is a way.
