Help Elijah and Madison Rebuild After Fire

My name is Elijah. My fiancé and I woke up sick. I called into work sick, and we went upstairs to make some breakfast. While she was sick in the bathroom, I began warming up a pan to cook on when I noticed white smoke in the air. I looked around and leaned over to look in the living room. I was in shock and awe, as the wall next to our TV was just engulfed in flames. I yelled at my fiancé, Madison, that there was a fire and to dial 911, as I rushed to the kitchen sink to fill the nearest pot and Tupperware with water to try and throw onto the fire. It did not buy us any time, and within a minute, the smoke was already at chest height. I quickly looked for the cat and my phone but ultimately had to evacuate the house to avoid smoke inhalation.

Due to the quick response from our local fire and police department, the damage wasn't as bad as it could have been. The Red Cross has helped us with some basic essentials. My insurance company has put us into a hotel temporarily. But the costs of trying to make it in between paychecks and our deductible have not been going well. Right now, we are desperate for financial help. The rising cost of the current economy has not made this easy. But Jesus Christ has blessed us with our lives.
