My name is Haileigh, and I’m the mom of Elias, a 13 year old boy with chronic static encephalopathy presenting as cerebral palsy with autism and a cortical visual impairment, he is non-ambulatory nonverbal and we’re both in need of assistance. I’m doing everything I can to get my son to the care he urgently needs before time runs out.

Next month, he has critical medical appointments more than four hours away. He’s scheduled to receive Botox injections and be fitted for orthopedic braces, treatments that could help him avoid tendon-lengthening surgery. This isn’t just a checkup. Or a one time appointment. It’s a chance to change his future.

I’ve fought for every bit of support I could find. I was finally approved for a loan that would get us into a safe, reliable vehicle. But there’s a catch: I can’t access that loan unless I pay off the $10,000 still owe on my current car a car that can no longer safely transport us.

It’s agonizing to be this close. The help is there. The car is within reach. The appointments are scheduled.

And yet, this last barrier, is standing between my son and the treatment he needs.

So here I am, asking from the most vulnerable place I’ve ever been as a mother:

Please help me get my son to the care that could spare him from surgery, a surgery that would mean a medically induced coma for his recuperation..

Whether it’s a donation, a share, or even just a prayer thank you. Every dollar brings us closer to safety, relief, and hope. Closer to protecting him from a more painful and devastating road ahead.

I worked so hard to get to where we are now and I never wanted to have to ask the public for help, but I will do whatever it takes for my boy because he deserves every chance at a pain free life.
