Hi, I’m Cryn Johannsen from the United States — I live in the Washington, D.C., area.
As many of you know, there is currently a ceasefire in Gaza. However, this does not mean the people living there are suddenly alright; food shortages, houses destroyed by bombings, rubble, and artillery shells everywhere, lack of medical supplies, and cold weather still make their lives difficult today. They still need our support for everyday life things.
I am collecting donations on behalf of Elias and his family, who are now dear friends of mine. They want nothing more than to just live in peace and with enough food to fill their stomachs. Please help me help them get back up on their feet after years of struggle!
Here are some words from Salem, Elias’ father:
“Hello everyone, in these lines I will write about my suffering and the suffering of my family, so that you know your donation will be in the right place. I am Salem, 30 years old, married to Nourhan. I have a beautiful child named Elias, and my elderly parents also live with me. We are from Rafah, which has been completely destroyed. We have no home, no work, not even memories. We have become exiles, displaced, living in the alleys of the streets among the destroyed houses in tents. It doesn't protect us from the winter cold, nor does it shield us from the summer heat. We struggle to get water; every morning, we go to the water queue just to get a little water. The same goes for food. We don't even have enough to eat for the day. My poor child longs to live like other children in the world, to eat what he wants, to play in a clean environment, but unfortunately, I can't provide even the most basic necessities. My father is elderly and suffers from high blood pressure and diabetes; He needs medication monthly, and I can't afford it, nor can I provide food for my family. I am helpless in their face. So please support me, stand by me, even with a small donation that will be etched in our hearts for a lifetime. May God bless you.♥️✌”
Funds will be used for basic necessities such as food, water, a tent, blankets, winter clothing… things most of us take for granted, but are a matter of life and death for Elias. Thank you so much for your attention.
