Hi, my name is Julie Aguiniga and I am a resident of Gustine. I am setting up this GoFundMe for the family who owns L & E Cafe. I went in Friday morning to pick up an order of bagels and saw that Elias, the owner, was in a wheelchair. Elias' son had shared that his dad suffered a stroke in November, spending the first month in a coma. He was in the hospital for 3 months and was recently released back home a few days ago. Elias is still unable to talk or walk due to being paralyzed on his right side, and the family has been told it will be a long road to recovery. The family has been doing their best with keeping the cafe open, all while caring for their dad and Lucia's husband. I asked their permission to share this information and set up a GoFundMe for them to see if we can all rally behind them and support them during this very difficult time. They would never ask for help, but considering the situation, we all know they could use it.
